Miss International - Pageant Girl

Miss International UK is a national pageant with a straightforward prize: its winner travels to Japan to represent the country at the Miss International final, one of the major international beauty pageants.

A pageant revived

The live finals of Miss International UK returned in 2014 after a gap of more than two decades. Since then, the competition has re-established itself as a route to the international stage.

British success in Japan

Delegates from the UK have performed strongly at the Miss International final over the years.

• Victoria Tooby, Miss International UK 2014, finished as third runner-up. She was subsequently invited by the Miss International organisation to tour Japan for two weeks.
• Sophie Loudon, Miss International UK 2015, reached the top 10.
• Ashley Powell, Miss International UK 2017, placed in the top eight and also took the Miss International Europe title.
• Harriotte Lane, competing in 2019 at the age of 18, finished as fourth runner-up.
