Miss Teen Great Britain - Pageant Girl

Miss Teen Great Britain describes itself as a competition of excellence rather than a beauty pageant, placing its emphasis on dignity, courage, intelligence, creative talent and kindness. Half of the overall scoring is weighted on the interview, reflecting the event’s stated focus on serving others.

The competition is open to girls aged 10 to 19 and is split into three divisions: Little Miss Teen Great Britain for ages 10 to 12, Miss Junior Teen Great Britain for ages 13 to 15, and Miss Teen Great Britain for ages 16 to 19.

It has been running since 2011. The Junior section was added in 2013, followed by the Little Miss section in 2015.

A confidence-building experience

The contests were set up to offer young girls and teenagers a positive experience that builds confidence. Organisers aim for contestants to make new friends and to feel like a queen, and say the competition opens the door to fun and exciting opportunities for the winners.

For finalists, it is a chance to meet other young people from across Great Britain while taking part in an event that combines glamour with a celebration of their achievements. Organisers describe it as a character-building experience and a platform for raising money for charity.
