UK Galaxy Queens Return to the Bahamas for 2027 International Final

The UK Galaxy Pageants crown six winners each year, and among the most coveted elements of the prize package is the chance to represent the country at the Galaxy International finals. For 2027, that journey leads back to the Bahamas, following a successful trip this summer.

International Crown Comes Home After 2026 Final

At the 2026 International Galaxy Pageants, held in Nassau, the UK contingent made its mark. On the Saturday evening, the reigning UK Galaxy Queens took to the international stage as part of their prize for winning their national titles — and the international crown is heading back to the UK.

A Week of Preparation and Celebration

The 2026 pageant week unfolded across several days of events in the Bahamas.

Arrival: The six reigning UK Galaxy queens departed the UK wearing the colours of the Union Jack, in what has become a Galaxy tradition, and touched down in the Bahamas ahead of the competition.

Orientation: Pageant week officially began with an orientation, where the queens were welcomed by Galaxy International Director Maria — the first moment that competitors from around the world gathered in one room.

Photoshoots: A full day was dedicated to the official Opening Number and Swimwear photoshoots, shot by an internationally renowned photographer.

Island Tour: Courtesy of the Bahamas Tourism Board, the queens were treated to an island tour before the hard work began.

Interviews and White Party: The official interviews with the judges — one of the most important parts of the competition — were followed by the White Party.

Looking Ahead to 2027

With the 2026 competition complete, attention now turns to the 2027 International Galaxy Pageants, which will once again be held in the Bahamas. The prize package for the next set of UK Galaxy winners will include the opportunity to fly out and compete on that international stage.

Elsewhere in UK Pageantry

The UK pageant calendar extends well beyond Galaxy. Miss International UK, run by director Holly Pirrie for 13 years, held its grand finals on Saturday 4 July 2026, with one winner crowned each year. Across the wider circuit, six national pageants crown 19 Queens annually, alongside additional events designed for both newcomers and experienced finalists.
