A Year of Pageantry: From Regional Retreats to the International Stage

Pageant titleholders have had a busy stretch, with a calendar that has taken them from a country house in Lancashire to Tokyo, and from festive meet-ups to humanitarian work in India. Here is a look back at some of the highlights.

A Festive Gathering in December 2025

The season kicked off in December 2025 with an annual Christmas event held at The Dress Studio. Finalists gathered for a festive meet-up, with organisers saying they were delighted by the turnout. The event marked the start of the Christmas period for those involved in the pageant community.

Sophie Wallace Crowned Miss International Europe

On 27 November 2025, Sophie Wallace was crowned Miss International Europe 2025. Her path to the title began in May 2025, when she won the Miss International UK pageant. That win opened the door to Tokyo, where she competed in the official Miss International competition.

Official photographs from the Miss International competition were released shortly afterwards. While in Tokyo, delegates took part in a series of photoshoots, with headshots and swimsuit images issued as part of the competition’s official output.

Representing the UK in Tokyo

Sophie arrived in Tokyo in November 2025 ahead of the Miss International finals, ready to represent the UK at one of the world’s largest pageants. Updates from Japan followed throughout her stay, with organisers describing the experience as offering once-in-a-lifetime opportunities.

Humanitarian Work in India

In September 2025, Sophie travelled to India for the annual A-Sisterhood humanitarian trip. During the visit she met some of the women’s charities she had supported through her fundraising for the organisation.

The Queens Retreat

The Queens Retreat has become a fixture in the pageant calendar. In September 2025, the retreat was held at a luxury mansion in Lancashire, with official photographs released shortly afterwards. The event combined hot tub chats and pizza nights with sunny strolls and, by all accounts, plenty of laughter.

The 2026 edition followed in May, with organisers releasing the official photographs after a countdown to the event. As in previous years, the retreat brought titleholders together for a mix of relaxation and shared memories.

Earlier International Appearances

The calendar of appearances also includes earlier international trips. In November 2024, official photographs were released from the Miss International stage, where the reigning queen at the time, Tiny, represented the UK in Japan. The opportunity formed part of her prize package for winning the Miss International UK pageant.

Also in November 2024, official photographs were shared from the Galaxy International Pageants, marking the end of a trip abroad for the Galaxy Queens.
