These beauty queens mean business - The Pageant Girls behind The Yog Bar! - Pageant Girl

Stephanie and Charlotte Hodson made their mark in pageants before turning their attention to building a business empire with The Yog Bar. It has been rewarding to watch the company grow since the sisters opened their first store four years ago. In the coming weeks, they will launch The Yog Bar Xpress in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle.

Steph launched The Yog Bar in Hoylake in 2013, and it was the first frozen yogurt shop to open on The Wirral. Frozen yogurt, often called “fro yo”, offers an alternative to fatty and calorific ice cream and, with a range of toppings, provides a lighter treat for all ages.

Toppings span a healthier selection of fruits, such as strawberries or blueberries, alongside a more indulgent collection including chocolate brownies and Oreo cookies, with sauces such as hot chocolate fudge and hot Nutella.

When Steph and Charlotte opened The Yog Bar, they may have been new to the business world, but they were certainly not strangers to the pageant industry.

Charlotte Hodson was the very first confirmed finalist for the United Kingdom Galaxy Pageant, back in 2009, and held the title of Miss Teen Wirral Galaxy. Although Charlotte never took the Galaxy crown, placing as first runner-up, she enjoyed considerable pageant success, winning Miss Cheshire and Europe’s Perfect Miss and competing in Miss England and internationally in Orlando for the World’s Perfect Pageant.

After a little encouragement from her younger sister, Steph entered her first pageant, Miss Intercontinental England, and won. She travelled to Spain to compete in the world finals of Miss Intercontinental, where she won the Miss Congeniality award.

Six years after Steph won her title, the two remain close, and the success they are enjoying is well deserved. The opening of The Yog Bar Xpress in Liverpool is eagerly anticipated, along with the question of when The Yog Bar might open a Warrington branch.
